This is some of the best the Southern Rhône has to offer. Almost black in colour with a complex nose of black berries, violets and liquorice. Its ‘big’, yet well balanced and elegant with a long mellow finish.
43 - Pernard Vergelesses 1er Cru, Domaine Chanson 2010 (FRA) £40 Typical Pinot nose of red berries. Good freshness. Full-bodied with intense flavours and a juicy fruity finish.
45 - Chateau D’Angludet Margaux 2005 (FRA) £50 Aromas of blackcurrant showing richness and integrated tannins.
